What's New in Seonio: Dollar Prices, No Charge for Failed Lookups and 23 MCP Tools

Seonio now prices every tool in dollars, includes usage with each paid plan, never charges for lookups that fail on our side, and offers 23 MCP tools.

What's New in Seonio: October 2026

Seonio now shows prices in dollars, includes usage with each paid plan and gives your AI assistant more SEO tools. Here's what changed in October 2026:

  • Plan your spending in dollars. Every tool has a price, with no credits to convert.
  • You aren't charged for our failures. If a lookup fails on our side, it doesn't use your balance.
  • Do more in your AI assistant. Seonio MCP now has 23 tools, up from 14 at launch.

Choose how much usage you need

Seonio no longer uses credits. Prices are in US dollars and are the same on the website, through the REST API and through MCP.

For example, keyword metrics cost $0.001 per keyword, a Google results page costs $0.001, and a domain's monthly organic traffic estimates cost $0.01.

Plan Pay monthly Pay yearly Included usage each month
Starter $15/month $120/year ($10/month) $15
Pro $30/month $240/year ($20/month) $37.50
Business $60/month $480/year ($40/month) $90

Paying yearly saves about 33%. Your included usage still refreshes every month, just as it does with monthly billing. Unused included usage does not carry over.

To try Seonio, you can start with a free account. You get a one-time $1 testing balance, with no card or subscription required. This is granted once per person; variations of the same mailbox count as one.

Add Extra Usage when you need it

Extra Usage packs add balance to your plan:

  • Pay $10 and get $10.
  • Pay $100 and get $115.
  • Pay $1,000 and get $1,300.

Each pack is valid for one year. Seonio uses your balance in this order:

  1. Your testing balance.
  2. Your included monthly usage.
  3. Your Extra Usage packs, starting with the pack that expires first.

Your balance cannot go below zero. If it runs out, paid requests pause until your monthly usage renews or you add a pack. You won't receive an overage bill.

Prices and limits can change. The pricing page has the current plans and tool prices.

Know when a lookup costs money

A confirmed answer is charged, even when the answer is “no data.” If a lookup finds no backlinks for a domain or no search volume for a keyword, it costs the normal price.

A failure on our side is different. You aren't charged. On the website, the panel says Temporarily unavailable and tells you that you weren't charged, instead of showing No data. The API and MCP return an error instead of an empty result.

  • Invalid requests aren't charged. Requests for an unsupported country or a domain that doesn't exist are answered immediately, without a charge.
  • When the price depends on the result, you pay for what was delivered. We reserve the maximum cost before the work starts, then return the difference. The SERP scraper charges only for result pages it could read.
  • Reopening a paid website report is free for seven days. Open the same report again on the website within that period, and you won't be charged. The visit appears as Cached in your usage log.
  • Requests above your rate limit aren't charged. You receive HTTP 429, meaning too many requests.

The website allows 20 requests per second on every plan because one report can load several panels at once.

Use 23 SEO tools from your AI assistant

Seonio MCP connects SEO tools to assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude and Cursor. It now has 22 data tools and the free account_balance tool. Each data tool matches a REST API endpoint at the same price.

We've added the 11 tools below since launch. Two replace older backlink tools, bringing the total from 14 to 23.

What you want to find out Tool
A keyword's search intent: informational, navigational, commercial or transactional. Up to 100 keywords per call. keywords_intent
How hard a keyword is to rank for in a particular country. keywords_difficulty
The five countries where a keyword is searched most. keywords_countries
The age and gender of people searching for a keyword. keywords_demographics
Which keywords a particular page ranks for. url_keywords
Which category a domain belongs to. website_category
Which other websites belong to the same category. website_similar
Which domains compete for the same organic keywords. website_competitors
Which links point to a domain or a full URL. backlink_table
How a domain's backlink profile has changed over time. backlink_history
Which on-page SEO issues a URL has, with a score and findings. page_checker

For example, you can ask, “Who are my competitors?” Then follow up with, “Which of their keywords show commercial intent, and how hard are they to rank for?” You can continue in the same conversation without exporting files or copying results between tools.

Before a large job, your agent can use account_balance to check the balance available to spend now. We've also fixed a problem that stopped some people from adding Seonio as a custom connector in ChatGPT.

The MCP setup guides cover ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, VS Code and plain HTTP. For your own integration, see the REST API documentation.

Get more useful keyword and website data

Keyword intent works across Seonio

Our own AI classification now supplies search intent on keyword pages, in suggestions, through the API and through MCP. It costs $0.001 per keyword. More than 90,000 keywords are already classified, so most keyword pages show intent immediately.

Find similar websites with revised categories

Categories help you find similar sites and browse Top Websites. We rebuilt the classifier, then checked it on 300 randomly selected domains.

A separate AI reviewer, which didn't know which approach produced each label, agreed with about 95% of the new categories. It agreed with about 90% from the earlier approach. Those figures measure agreement with an AI reviewer; they are not accuracy scores from a human review.

We then reclassified all 46,578 domains in our database. More than one in ten changed category.

Data refreshes reflect how quickly it changes

We measured how stored data changes to help decide when to refresh it. In our measurements:

  • Repeating a Google query a few minutes later changed about three of the top ten results.
  • Stored results up to four months old differed by less than one additional result beyond that variation.
  • Google updates caused larger changes, regardless of the stored results' age.

Authority scores behaved differently. Strong sites changed little, while smaller sites could change substantially from month to month. We now refresh smaller sites' authority scores much sooner.

Age still matters, but it doesn't tell the whole story. No fixed refresh schedule can predict a Google update. We'll review these rules as we collect more data and publish the full study in a separate post.

Get results from large sites and harder-to-read pages

Ranked-keyword reports for very large domains now return a filtered set of their strongest keywords instead of timing out. Totals are estimated from the site's traffic. Page-ranking lookups also handle differences in trailing slashes, letter case and #fragments.

The scraper retries another way if its first attempt fails. It also renders JavaScript-heavy pages, reads PDFs up to 50 MB and handles broken markup that previously hid the main content.

Find your results and spending more easily

  • See results while scraping continues. The SERP scraper displays the results page immediately and reads individual results in parallel.
  • Spot keywords that don't fit. Clustering labels them Uncategorized rather than presenting them as a separate cluster.
  • Find other sites. Similar-website lists no longer include the site you searched for.
  • Follow longer trends. Trending Keywords shows full trend lines from January 2023 and the gain between the first and last month.
  • See your spending in one place. The signed-in area has four tabs: Overview, Usage, Billing and Settings. Usage combines website, API and MCP spending. Your available balance stays visible in the header.
  • Read more comfortably on your phone. The site and signed-in app share a new design. Tables and cards fit without sideways scrolling, and pages no longer flash white between navigations.

We also test every paid tool through both the API and MCP before a release. Those tests use real HTTP requests and a real balance to check the result and charge, including cases that should cost nothing.
